Doing service projects together is one way that Scouts keep their promise “to help other people.” While a Scout should do their best to help other people every day, a group service project is a bigger way to help people. While they’re giving service, they’re learning to work together with others to do something that’s good for their community.
Service projects may help the natural world, the community, or the chartered organization. Below are pictures from some of the service projects our Troops and Pack have participated in, though there are a lot more service projects and activities that are not included below.
June 2024: Fare For All Pop-up Food Pantry support
June 2024: Flag Ceremony at Red Wing Aces baseball game
May 2024: Set up flags for Memorial Day Field of Honor, and hand out programs at Memorial Day event
November 2023: Holiday Stroll – manage burn barrels
November 2023: Veteran’s Day event at Red Wing High School
August 2023: River City Days support of American Legion
August 2023: Plastic recycling – prepared roughly 2,500 pounds of sheet plastic for recycling.
August 2023: Flag Retirement Ceremony – retired 24 US Flags that were no longer suitable to display, in conjunction with American Legion Post 54 (our Charter Organization)

May 2023: Spring cleaning gardens and grounds of our host facility, First Presbyterian Church
